Is the

 |
One of
the benefits of the procedure is that it is well-tolerated with
minimal post-operative discomfort. |

2.
 |
If I
have Laser Vision Correction will I ever Need Glasses Again? |
 |
This
depends on your individual needs, occupation activities and
age. These factors will determine the need for
glasses. Also, everyone over the age of 40 may begin to have
some difficulty reading. This is called presbyopia. You
may still require glasses for reading. |

3.
 |
What
are the normal side effects of Laser Vision Correction? |
 |
Some of
the normal side effects include:
- Blurred
Vision
- Halos
- A
foreign body sensation such as an eyelash in the eye
|

4.
 |
What
is the minimum age for Laser Vision Correction? |
 |
The
minimum age for the correction of hyperopia (farsightedness) or
myopia (nearsightedness) is 18. If you are having
astigmatism corrected (irregular shape of the cornea), you need to
be at least 21. |

5.
 |
Can I
have Laser Vision Correction in one eye and wear a contact lens in
the other? |
 |
Absolutely.
LASER VISION CORRECTION is usually done on both eyes. Some
people have different needs and lifestyles. We take your
needs and lifestyle into consideration and Dr. Kalnins can go over
that with you. |

6.
 |
I
wear gas permeable contact lenses, can I still have the procedure? |
 |
Yes, you
may. You will need to have your lenses out for at least four
weeks prior to the procedure. Depending on how many
years you have been wearing your lenses, Dr. Kalnins may require
you to have them out longer. |

7.
 |
Is
Laser Vision Correction permanent? |
 |
The
procedure is usually permanent. There are minimal changes,
depending on your healing process. However, it does not
prevent any future changes in you prescription that will occur
naturally. |

8.
 |
Does
medical insurance pay for Laser Vision Correction? |
 |
Although
some insurance companies will pay for these procedures, most
decline to do so on the belief that it is cosmetic surgery.
Our fees include everything (i.e., they cover everything from
preoperative to post-operative examinations and care, as well as
the procedure). We offer our patients several payment plan
options and would be pleased to discuss them with you. |
